Max Verstappen won the United States Grand Prix Sprint, increasing his championship credentials. The McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris suffered terminal damage in a Turn 1 incident.

 

Piastri, starting third, was clipped by Nico Hulkenberg, sending him into Norris and eliminating both. Fernando Alonso was also involved, leading to a safety car period.

George Russell challenged Verstappen, but Verstappen secured the victory. Carlos Sainz finished third, holding off Leclerc and Hamilton.

Verstappen earned eight championship points, closing the gap to Piastri and Norris in the standings. Verstappen expressed satisfaction with the win and looked forward to the grand prix.

 

Verstappen and Russell had a clash reminiscent of a previous incident, with Verstappen emerging ahead. Russell was investigated but cleared, remaining happy with second place.

 

Sainz achieved a podium, marking a strong result for his team. The race featured two safety car periods, one due to a collision between Stroll and Ocon.

Hamilton finished fourth, his best result since the British Grand Prix. Albon secured a points finish for Williams, while Tsunoda also gained points.

 

Antonelli claimed a point due to Bearman's penalty. Attention now shifts to qualifying for the Grand Prix.
