Roland Dane has publicly addressed his appointment as PremiAir Racing’s team principal, a role he will officially begin in 2026. Dane, who previously served as a consultant for the team, stated he missed the competition and needed to occupy his time usefully after stepping down from the PWR board, to which he's essentially called "brain rot".
He responded to Tony Quinn's comments regarding his "retirement U-turn" and the predicted short duration of his relationship with PremiAir Racing, joking that they would last beyond March, does everyone else think so?
PremiAir Racing owner Peter Xiberras
confirmed he had been pursuing Dane for years due to his directness and expertise.
Xiberras believes Dane's presence at the track will help the team Improve its performance. Dane described his role as assembling the "jigsaw puzzle" of the race team, emphasizing the importance of having the right people and providing direction.
