Ryan Wood was the fastest in Formula Regional Oceania practice at Hampton Downs, topping the second and third sessions on Friday. Ugo Ugochukwu topped Practice 1, with Wood finishing third.

Wood controlled Practice 2 and set the quickest time in Practice 3 with a 1:29.764s, making him the only driver in the 1m29s bracket.

Freddie Slater was second fastest in Practice 3. World Rally Championship winner Kalle Rovanpera finished 13th in Practice 1 and slid to 18th and 17th in the subsequent sessions.

Qualifying is scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 am AEDT, followed by Race 1 and Race 2.
