Shane van Gisbergen shared his opinion on the Bathurst 1000 clash between James Golding and Cooper Murray, where Golding received a penalty for spinning Murray.

Van Gisbergen believes the penalty was unfair and that Murray turned down on Golding.

Murray felt the penalty was insufficient, while Will Brown and Brodie Kostecki didn't think it deserved a penalty, arguing that it was the biggest race of the year.
Craig Baird explained that Golding lacked sufficient overlap.
Van Gisbergen admitted he hasn't been as engaged with Supercars this year and that the pre-race parity issues were avoided due to rain.
He affirmed his move to NASCAR was the right decision, especially considering the recent Supercars parity saga.
