Penrite Racing leads the Supercars teams' championship by 259 points but remains wary of Red Bull Ampol Racing. Triple Eight faced difficulties at The Bend, with Will Brown/Scott Pye recovering to fourth and Broc Feeney/Nick Percat struggling after an early collision. Penrite benefited from strong performances by Kai Allen and Tim Slade, finishing second, while Matt Payne and Will Davison overcame setbacks to finish sixth despite a penalty.
Despite doubling their points lead and Payne regaining the drivers' championship lead, Allen remains cautious, noting Triple Eight's resilience, especially with Bathurst approaching. "We must maintain our lead," Allen explains, acknowledging Red Bull Ampol Racing's potential comeback. Penrite Racing's focus is now on Mount Panorama, aiming for consecutive wins since Triple Eight in 2022/23. "We're not changing our procedures," Allen said, emphasizing the team's dedication and lack of egos.
Penrite is poised for a championship sweep and a return to Bathurst as the leading team. Despite their 2025 Bathurst victory, they remain focused on performance, with Allen and Payne reflecting on past successes while aiming to retain the Peter Brock Trophy.
