Dick Johnson Racing will make a vibrant statement at the NTI Townsville 500 with a yellow color scheme inspired by the "Minions & Monsters" theme. This design promotes the "Minions & Monsters Bag Buddy" collectibles, popular among fans and collectors. The #17 car driven by Brodie Kostecki and the #38 car piloted by Rylan Gray will feature this playful livery, aligning with the family-friendly branding of the collectibles. The initiative aims to engage fans both at the race and beyond, enhancing the overall fan experience. As the event approaches, excitement builds around this blend of motorsport and popular culture.
DJR CEO Megan Foster highlighted the partnership's evolution and its positive impact on the team's performance and brand identity. She noted the team's success with yellow cars, which symbolize their racing prowess and are a fan favorite. The yellow color is linked to memorable victories and a strong track presence. Upcoming models will not feature Minions characters to maintain the team's unique branding and focus on racing heritage.
Kostecki will return to action at the Townsville circuit, where he achieved his first win for the team in 2025, a pivotal moment in his career. This victory solidified his position and showcased his potential as a competitor. As he prepares to race again in Townsville, Kostecki and the team aim to build on past success and pursue excellence on the track.
