Ryan Optimistic With Erebus Bathurst Campaign...
Erebus Motorsport team boss Barry Ryan feels optimistic about the upcoming Bathurst 1000 following a promising performance at The Bend 500. Despite a difficult season, the team saw significant progress as co-drivers Jarrod Hughes and Lochie Dalton showcased strong speed during the rain-affected race. Rookie Jobe Stewart also secured his first Top 10 Shootout appearance.
Although strategic risks regarding fuel and tire choices led to 14th and 18th place finishes, the team's overall pace provided a major morale boost. Ryan believes the confidence gained by the co-drivers is crucial, leading him to adopt the motto that co-drivers win Bathurst.
With a history of performing well at major events, the team enters the race with renewed momentum. Additionally, team owner Betty Klimenko is expected to attend the Bathurst 1000 for her first event appearance of the year.
