Which Team Will Rise?

Formula 1 is facing a significant rules overhaul in 2026, which is expected to dramatically reset both cars and the competitive order.

Historically, such clean-sheet changes have produced clear winners and losers, as seen with Mercedes in 2014, Brawn GP in 2009, and McLaren in 1998. The 2026 cars will be shorter, narrower, and lighter, with reduced downforce and drag, and a new 'Overtake Mode' replacing DRS.

Paddock rumors suggest Mercedes and Red Bull could be well-positioned due to efficient engine designs.

Adrian Newey's interpretation of the regulations at Aston Martin will be watched closely, while Audi's arrival and Cadillac's entry add further variables. Alpine will switch to Mercedes power, and Ferrari hopes the new rules will bring a title.

The central question is which team will master these new regulations and define the next era of Formula 1.
