Shane dissected his NASCAR crash with Connor Zilisch at Watkins Glen, attributing it to non-existent track limits and limited racing room.

The incident occurred when Zilisch ran wide at Turn 6 and returned to the racing line, clipping van Gisbergen and sending him into the SAFER barrier.

Van Gisbergen explained that in other racing series, going off track is the driver's problem, but in NASCAR, both drivers need to allow racing to continue.

Zilisch expressed remorse, stating he didn't intentionally wreck van Gisbergen and was trying to pass cleanly, He felt he needed more space to re-enter the track and that lifting off the throttle was his only option to avoid contact.
