Supercars Hall of Fame member Garry Rogers, a prominent figure in Australian motorsport, has passed away at the age of 80. Rogers was involved in motorsport for over 60 years as a driver, team owner, and administrator.
He participated in 14 Bathurst 1000 races and made a significant impact as the owner of Garry Rogers Motorsport from 1996 to 2019. GRM won the Bathurst 1000 in 2000 and provided opportunities for drivers like Garth Tander, Jason Bargwanna, and Scott McLaughlin.
The team left Supercars in 2019 to focus on Australian Racing Group categories, with his son Barry now running GRM.
