Triple Eight co-owner Tony Quinn criticized Roland Dane's return to the Supercars Championship as team principal of PremiAir Racing.
Dane's full-time return follows his departure from Triple Eight, after which the team switched to Ford for 2026. Quinn expressed disappointment, noting Dane's prior indication of retirement and suggesting General Motors is spending heavily on Supercars.
Quinn believes GM should have invested more in Triple Eight and views Dane's move as a "shitty" one. Quinn also predicted potential conflict between Dane and PremiAir owner Peter Xiberras due to their strong personalities.
