Fermin Aldeguer won the race and became the second-youngest MotoGP grand prix winner after Marquez. Aldeguer expressed his happiness and gratitude to his team.

Bezzecchi fluffed the start from pole position, and Acosta got the holeshot. Marquez slid through the gravel after being hit by Bezzecchi.

Joan Mir crashed out, and Francesco Bagnaia retired. Aldeguer passed Marini and Acosta to take the lead.

Alex Rins made it up to third but dropped to tenth. Alex Marquez worked his way up to second, but Acosta took it back with three laps to go.
