Turn Eight Already Making Waves.

Officials have painted the Armco barrier at Turn 8 of the Adelaide street circuit bright orange after poor visibility was blamed for multiple crashes last year.

Richie Stanaway, Cameron Hill, David Reynolds, and Jaxon Evans all crashed at the corner, with Stanaway and Evans suffering concussions. A safety review resulted in the barrier color change, but not the layout.

David Reynolds believes this is a token gesture that doesn't fix anything and suggests a resurfacing of the corner for next year. He also noted that the kerb on the inside is brighter, and the concrete barrier on the exit has been realigned to prevent repeat incidents.
