George Russell secured pole position at the Singapore Grand Prix with a lap time of 1m29.158s.
Russell topped two of the three qualifying sessions, setting a new lap record around the Marina Bay layout. Max Verstappen finished second, followed by Oscar Piastri in third.
Russell recovered from a difficult start to the weekend, including a crash in practice. Verstappen's final lap was affected by Lando Norris.
Kimi Antonelli qualified fourth, while Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will start sixth and seventh.
Isack Hadjar and Oliver Bearman finished eighth and ninth, respectively. Pierre Gasly's Alpine came to a halt in Q1, resulting in his elimination.
