NASCAR legend Greg Biffle, along with his wife Cristina, daughter Emma, and son Ryder, were among six people killed when his aircraft crashed and erupted into flames at Statesville Regional Airport.
Biffle was a Ford stalwart, racing with Roush for 16 years in the NASCAR Cup Series, winning 19 races and finishing second in the 2005 NASCAR Cup Series.
He also won the NASCAR Busch Series in 2002 and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2000, and was named one of NASCAR’s greatest 75 drivers in 2023. RFK Racing and NASCAR expressed deep sorrow, highlighting his contributions to the sport and his philanthropic work, particularly in animal welfare and relief efforts after Hurricane Helene in 2024.
