Dick Johnson Racing (DJR) protested Supercars, alleging a breach of technical parity rules due to a performance discrepancy.
Supercars' own testing revealed that the GM engine produces more horsepower than the Ford engine at Bathurst conditions.
A technical solution was proposed by Supercars but blocked by GM, as all teams needed to agree.
DJR stated that Supercars chose consultation with GM over correction, thus prioritizing politics over parity.
The stewards dismissed the protest, stating they lacked jurisdiction to apply the remedy. DJR accepts the decision but emphasizes the lack of parity at Bathurst, stating they will race hard despite the disadvantage.
