Triple Eight boss Jamie Whincup believes Supercars has reached a fair resolution regarding the revised pit lane regulations for 2026, despite his expanded team being unable to house its three cars in consecutive garages.
Supercars clarified its rules, pairing the one-car SCT Motorsport entry with the third Brad Jones Racing car.
These two cars will be tethered to the lower-ranked team in the championship between Triple Eight and BJR for pit lane order.
Whincup stated that while ideally, their cars would be together, this outcome is the fairest for all parties involved and acknowledges that the previous setup would compromise the rest of the field. He also expects Triple Eight will share crew with BJR to service the SCT entry, with discussions on details still pending.
