Payne On Top In Final Qualifying For Townsville.

Matt Payne has topped qualifying at the NTI Townsville 500, setting the stage for the Top 10 Shootout. Payne, driving for Grove Racing, recorded the fastest time in Q2 with 1:12.5262s.

Will Davison followed Payne, while Brodie Kostecki finished 11th and missed the Shootout. Thomas Randle secured third, completing a Mustang sweep of the top three.

Broc Feeney and Will Brown from Triple Eight Camaro followed, with Ryan Wood, Chaz Mostert, Kai Allen, Anton De Pasquale and Cam Waters completing the top 10 shootout placings to run shortly.
