Tim Edwards of Supercars has announced that the category has achieved aerodynamic parity following wind tunnel tests in America.
These tests, conducted at Windshear, involved representatives from Supercars and homologation teams, and were performed ahead of the Toyota GR Supra's introduction to the Supercars grid in 2026. The multi-million dollar process ensured aero parity between the Supra, Ford Mustang, and Chevrolet Camaro, with Edwards calling the result a "minor miracle" due to the higher standards set compared to previous tests.
He stated that they now have aerodynamic parity to a much finer tolerance. With aero parity achieved, the focus will now shift to engine testing, scheduled for mid-2026.
