Lando Norris won the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, his seventh victory of the season, extending his F1 championship lead. He finished ahead of Kimi Antonelli and Max Verstappen, who charged from the pitlane to third.
Oscar Piastri recovered to fifth after a 10-second penalty for a collision with Antonelli and Charles Leclerc.
Norris controlled the race, maintaining his advantage over Verstappen, who abandoned a one-stop strategy. This was Norris's second straight victory and 11th career win, capping a flawless weekend where he topped every session.
He dedicated the win to former McLaren sporting director Gil de Ferran and credited his team for his recent form. Norris emphasized his focus on improving the car rather than the championship, despite extending his lead.
Antonelli achieved his best F1 result, finishing second. The 19-year-old driver secured the runner-up spot, holding off Verstappen, despite his car feeling "weird" after early contact. He enjoyed the battle, finding his rhythm and raising his pace when Verstappen closed in.
Verstappen, starting from the pitlane due to an early puncture, achieved a podium finish, calling it an "incredible result." The race had two interruptions: an early Safety Car and a brief Virtual Safety Car.
Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar finished seventh and eighth, respectively, with Oliver Bearman in sixth.
