Mostert Sets Up Adelaide Grand Finale.

Chaz Mostert won the opening race of the Sandown Semi-Final, securing his spot in the Repco Supercars Championship at the Adelaide Grand Final.

Mostert, driving the #25 Ford Mustang, led for most of the 81-lap race at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500. Despite a late challenge from Will Brown, Mostert maintained his lead, partly due to his teammate Ryan Wood battling Brown for second place. Mostert expressed gratitude to Wood for his team effort.

At the start, Mostert took the lead over Wood, and by Lap 10, he had a two-second lead over Kostecki.

Brown steadily moved up the field, making several passes. Pit stops shuffled the order, with Wood briefly taking the effective lead before Mostert regained control.
