Tickford Racing driver Cam Waters faces a critical challenge at this weekend’s Supercars Semi-Final in Sandown. Currently sitting sixth in the standings, he must overcome a 21-point deficit to qualify for the final four.

The team is struggling through its longest top-five drought since 2007, and recent performance issues with super soft tyres remain a significant concern for their car speed. Despite these challenges, Waters is determined to attack the event in his home city to advance his title hopes.

Success for the team may also depend on the performance of his teammate, Thomas Randle, who is looking to maintain momentum after a productive Sunday finish on the Gold Coast. While Tickford ranks third in the teams' standings, the focus remains on finding the necessary improvements to keep Waters in contention.
