Broc Feeney of Triple Eight Race Engineering won the Dunlop Sydney 500 opener in his #88 Red Bull Ampol Racing Ford Mustang.
Feeney executed a perfect undercut during the pit stop sequence, taking the lead from early race leader Aaron Cameron. Despite Cameron's one-lap advantage, Feeney maintained his lead and secured victory by over two seconds.
This win marks Triple Eight Race Engineering's first manufacturer change victory since 2011. Other notable events included Golding being investigated for a potential jump start but cleared, and Brodie Kostecki receiving a five-second penalty for a forceful move. Feeney remained unchallenged at the front, with Cameron finishing second and Golding third, completing an all-Ford top five with Payne and Waters.
