Broc Feeney won Race 2 of the Adelaide Grand Final, leading title rival Chaz Mostert, who was gifted second place by teammate Ryan Wood.
This victory gives Feeney a 23-point lead over Mostert heading into Sunday's final race. Will Brown and Kai Allen finished fourth and fifth, respectively, and are further behind in the standings.
The race began dramatically with Feeney and Aaron Cameron battling for the lead, followed by Wood taking the lead. Feeney reported an engine misfire, while Cameron retired after hitting a wall.
Mostert also experienced issues, including running wide and brushing a wall, but continued to race. Feeney's engine issue cleared, and he maintained his position behind Wood until they both pitted.
Ford's title contender Allen led the race after a long first stint, eventually pitting on lap 31. Wood was leading Feeney, with other contenders like Brown, Mostert, and Allen close behind. Mostert's car sustained damage and he continued to have incidents on track.
Wood's lead over Feeney diminished to less than a second. The final round of stops began with Brown and De Pasquale, followed by Mostert.
Feeney pitted, and Wood rejoined ahead but Feeney overtook him. Mostert then overtook Brown. Allen was the last contender to pit.
Wood stalked Feeney but then backed off to allow Mostert to gain second place. Brown and Allen battled, making contact, but finished fourth and fifth.
