Feeney Finishes Strong.

Broc Feeney won the Dunlop Sydney 500, the Repco Supercars Championship season-opener, in his #88 Red Bull Ampol Mustang.

He fended off attacks from Matt Payne and his teammate Kai Allen throughout the race. Payne finished second, and Cameron Waters secured third after starting 20th.

The race featured multiple incidents, including a multi-car clash on Lap 2 and a spinning incident involving Cameron Hill and David Reynolds.

Golding's hopes for a podium were dashed when his car lost a wheel. Rain arrived during a Safety Car period, but most drivers stayed out on slick tires.

Allen briefly took the lead from Feeney but made a mistake, allowing Feeney to retake it. A collision involving Brown, Kostecki, and De Pasquale resulted in a penalty for Brown.

Allen later experienced a suspected steering arm failure, forcing him to pit. Feeney maintained his lead, finishing ahead of Payne and Waters.

Kostecki received a post-race penalty for contact on the final lap, affecting the final standings. The Supercars Championship will resume after a one-weekend break at the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix.
