Dick Johnson Racing announced Rylan Gray will replace Will Davison for the 2026 Supercars Championship season. Gray, an 18-year-old from New South Wales, currently leads the Super2 standings.
He is a product of Tickford’s academy system and has combined a second Super2 campaign with three main game wildcard starts in 2025. DJR co-owner Ryan Story stated that Gray earned this opportunity through results and represents their commitment to developing the next generation.
Gray will join 2023 Supercars champion and 2024 Bathurst 1000 winner Brodie Kostecki in DJR’s line-up.
Gray expressed that this is his dream opportunity and he is ready to work hard and learn. The DJR statement did not mention which driver will use Johnson’s #17. This move by DJR appears to have finalized the 2026 Supercars grid.
