The all-new Cadillac F1 team has unveiled a special edition livery for its car, which will be used during the first pre-season test in Barcelona later this month.
This General Motors squad will begin its F1 program at the Spanish circuit from January 26-30. The testing livery was designed collaboratively by the GM global design team in the US and the UK-based F1 team.
The actual race livery will be revealed on February 8. The monochrome concept of the testing livery links to a modern interpretation of the Cadillac crest and shield and features the names of the founding members of the Cadillac F1 team.
GM president Mark Reuss stated that the livery celebrates Detroit’s design heritage and the global Cadillac Formula 1 team while keeping design secrets.
Cadillac F1 team CEO Dan Towriss mentioned that the team is committed to innovation and will debut its race livery during a globally televised championship broadcast.
Cadillac will make its competitive debut at the Australian Grand Prix with Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez as foundation race drivers.
