Marco Bezzecchi won the first MotoGP grand prix of the season at Thailand’s Buriram International Circuit, leading the 26-lap race from start to finish.
He beat KTM rider Pedro Acosta by five seconds and became the first Aprilia rider to win three consecutive grands prix for the manufacturer. Aprilia bikes dominated, occupying four of the top five positions.
Pedro Acosta, with a win in Saturday’s sprint and a second-place finish in Sunday’s grand prix, took the lead in the riders’ championship. Marc Marquez experienced a scare when his wheel buckled and tire punctured at 180 km/h.

Bezzecchi ultimately secured victory over Acosta, with Fernandez finishing third. Acosta currently leads the championship with 32 points, followed by Bezzecchi with 25 points.
