Supercars Championship team Tickford Racing has been sold to Altor Capital, the asset management arm of Prime Financial Group.
The deal, reportedly worth around $16 million, sees Altor Capital acquire a majority stake in the team.
Rod Nash, a long-time co-owner, will retain an equity stake and serve as director of motorsport, while CEO Simon Brookhouse will remain in his position.
This acquisition is Altor Capital's fourth sports and entertainment investment, following their purchase of a controlling stake in the NBL's Tasmania JackJumpers.
Altor Capital's Chief Investment Officer, Ben Harrison, expressed enthusiasm for the investment in Tickford Racing, citing its established track record and growth potential.
Tickford Racing operates two full-time Supercars Championship entries, four Super2 Series entries, and an engineering offshoot.
