The GT New Zealand Championship has announced three key appointments to its leadership team ahead of the upcoming 2026/27 season. Roland Dane will join the organization to provide his extensive expertise and support chief executive Josie Spillane in series development, drawing on his decades of experience as a driver and entrant.
Phil Shaw, formerly of Supercars, has been named the new category manager, while Nathan Pilcher will serve as the Porsche Endurance Trophy coordinator. These appointments follow the acquisition of the championship by promoter Tony Quinn.
Spillane expressed excitement regarding the depth of knowledge and professionalism these additions bring to the series. The season is scheduled to commence at Taupo in November and will feature several rounds throughout New Zealand, including stops at Teretonga, Highlands, and Hampton Downs.
