More Camaro's Needed In The Finals Run...

Anton De Pasquale has called on his fellow General Motors drivers, expressing his desire to see as many Camaros as possible in the 2026 Supercars Finals.
Team 18 driver De Pasquale and Matt Stone Racing veteran Jack Le Brocq are the only GM drivers currently in the top 10. However, Le Brocq is only 11 points ahead, having fought his way back into the top 10 in Townsville.
While De Pasquale is relatively secure, leading by 338 points, Le Brocq is in a precarious position, with PremiAir Racing rookie Jayden Ojeda (-137) and David Reynolds (-230) barely holding on. Ford has a significant advantage, as six of the current top seven are in Mustangs. Last year, De Pasquale was among three Camaros in the Finals. "It'd be great for the brand, and those guys [Le Brocq and Ojeda] are progressing well throughout the year," De Pasquale told Supercars.com, when asked about his desire for more GM presence in the Finals.
"We aim to have as many cars in there as possible. A key focus for our team is to get Dave in, while also advancing our position in the pit lane."
"Our goal is to consistently position our cars at the front together. We've been alternating positions a bit lately, so improving a few spots in the pit lane would be beneficial before the enduros. There's a close competition among several teams, so we'll continue down this path and see what unfolds."
De Pasquale was just 120 points ahead after leaving Townsville 12 months ago. Already a two-time race winner this season, the Victorian has improved his position for the Finals by an impressive 218 points compared to last year and is only 25 points behind the fifth-placed Kai Allen. When asked if he can afford to take a bigger risk in the final two Repco Sprint Cup rounds, De Pasquale replied: "I suppose it's not something we've fully planned for, but it's something we've just been doing naturally. I can only speak for myself, but we've been trying different things pretty consistently throughout the year. Some obviously work and some don't."
