Feeney Still Hunting NASCAR Glory...

Broc Feeney aims to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series by 2027, a goal he emphasized following his recent visit to the United States. While on vacation, Feeney attended the Sonoma round as a guest of RFK Racing and met with Shane van Gisbergen.

Feeney, who has long aspired to compete in stock car racing, has attended Martinsville, a renowned racing venue. Despite his passion, opportunities have been scarce. He hopes to race with RFK Racing, co-owned by Brad Keselowski, known for nurturing talent. Keselowski is interested in expanding the team with a fourth car for superspeedways and road courses. However, funding remains a major hurdle. Feeney can finance a race but stresses the importance of driving a competitive car capable of winning, reflecting his understanding of the sport's demands for success.

He acknowledged the complexities of participating in road course races next year, particularly the risks of using uncompetitive equipment. Feeney expressed concerns about the absence of a Ford team in the second-tier NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, complicating entry into this competitive environment. This lack of representation makes it harder for drivers to secure competitive rides and affects the series' dynamics, as diverse manufacturers enhance competition and excitement. Despite these challenges, Feeney is optimistic and considering a cameo in the Craftsman Truck Series to showcase his skills and gain experience.

Beyond NASCAR, Feeney is interested in more GT races, recognizing the unique challenges and rewards. GT racing requires endurance, speed, and technical precision, which excites him and complements his racing portfolio. He is currently awaiting the 2027 Supercars and NASCAR calendars to plan his schedule, aligning his goals with available opportunities. As he prepares for the upcoming season, Feeney focuses on navigating these complexities while remaining committed to his development as a competitive driver in motorsport.
