Broc Feeney felt disappointed after securing second place in the Perth Super440 finale, even though Triple Eight showed better performance. Feeney had clinched victory in Race 2 on Saturday, breaking a six-race winless streak, but an undercut by Grove Ford's Matt Payne prevented him from winning consecutive races in Race 3.

Feeney recognized the team's significant progress, mentioning they were back in contention and had made substantial improvements in one round. He expressed gratitude to the team for their efforts in enhancing the car, noting that the super softer tires were likely advantageous. Despite these improvements, Feeney stressed that as a racer, his ultimate goal is to win.

Triple Eight team principal Jamie Whincup credited the team's progress to a reallocation of resources. Feeney is optimistic that the team can continue to narrow the gap and remain competitive in the forthcoming races.
