Championship winning Team Boss steps back in!

Erebus Motorsport is preparing to bring back former Team Principal Brad Tremain, providing a significant boost to the championship-winning Chevrolet team. CEO Barry Ryan announced on Thursday in Perth that Tremain will return from his time in IndyCar to lead the Chevrolet squad.

Tremain left Erebus to join Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing for two years after managing Erebus' double championship victory in 2023. Ryan took over Tremain's responsibilities upon his departure, while also managing his CEO role and engineering tasks for Jack Le Brocq last season. “He’s been eager to return, and Betty [Klimenko, team owner] and I have welcomed him back to lead the team again as Team Principal,” Ryan informed the media.

"I’m really looking forward to it. Brad was with us from 2016 to 2024, so gaining those two years of overseas experience has surely been incredible for him."

"He'll return with much more experience and be ready to go." Tremain was one of several key figures to leave Erebus in recent years, alongside champion driver Brodie Kostecki and engineers George Commins and Tom Moore, all of whom have contributed to Dick Johnson Racing's resurgence.Ryan is still aiming to be a competitive force by Bathurst, and he is confident his team can be contenders again.

“I preferred '23 when we were competitive at every track, but those years aren't always guaranteed when you're a team that frequently loses members,” said Ryan, whose team successfully completed a crucial rookie test last week. “We can't use that as an excuse. We're a small team that reached the top, and everyone tried to take our members. It'll happen again, but we're working to rebuild. Hopefully, we can return to that level.” Erebus also unveiled a new livery for Jobe Stewart, with Spinifex Sheds and Vibe Petroleum enhancing the #9 entry.
