BRT Liveries Revealed!

The Blanchard Racing Team has unveiled new liveries for the Indigenous Round at Hidden Valley Raceway, part of the Darwin Triple Crown. This initiative celebrates Indigenous culture and emphasizes community in motorsport. A standout design is by Year 11 student Azariyah Lansom for Aaron Cameron’s Ford Mustang, titled “Tracks That Bring Us Together,” symbolizing the journeys connecting individuals and communities across Australia.

Azariyah's design thoughtfully interprets the theme, incorporating elements that reflect Indigenous heritage and the significance of land and connection. The colors, patterns, and imagery aim to captivate and remind audiences of the stories woven into the Australian landscape. This design process empowered Azariyah to express her creativity while honoring her cultural roots.

The Blanchard Racing Team, gearing up for the Darwin Triple Crown, highlights inclusivity and representation in motorsport by showcasing Indigenous artwork. This initiative aims to foster appreciation for Indigenous culture, create dialogue, and encourage reflection on the histories and bonds that unite communities.

The Indigenous Round at Hidden Valley Raceway will feature eye-catching liveries and activities celebrating Indigenous culture, offering a rich experience for racegoers. Traditional performances and educational displays aim to foster cultural exchange, enhancing the race weekend's significance. The collaboration between the Blanchard Racing Team and young artists like Azariyah Lansom demonstrates motorsport's ability to unite people and emphasize shared journeys, marking this event as a landmark in the racing calendar.

Kris Kennedy, an artist from the Gamilaraay/Yuwaalaraay communities, has significantly contributed to Indigenous cultural representation through his artwork. He designed a green and gold livery that captures the essence of the natural landscape significant to his people. This design is more than decorative; it narrates a story with imagery of majestic mountains, dramatic escarpments, and vital waterholes, reflecting the physical beauty and cultural narratives of the land. Each design element symbolizes the rich heritage and traditions of his ancestors, representing identity and belonging. The colors emphasize the landscape's lushness and life's vibrancy, resonating with themes of growth and harmony with nature. Kennedy's work bridges past and present, inviting appreciation for the land's cultural significance. His livery transforms a vehicle into a canvas that honors his heritage and engages a wider audience in the conversation about Indigenous art's importance in contemporary society.

The Darwin Triple Crown will occur from June 19-21.
