Alex Peroni and Mark Rosser Win the opening race of the GT World Challenge!

Alex Peroni and Mark Rosser triumphed in the opening race of the GT World Challenge Australia at Hidden Valley Raceway. Despite early chaos involving spins and minor collisions, they maintained a commanding lead, showcasing exceptional skill and teamwork.

This victory was their first of the season and in Darwin, propelling Rosser into the championship lead by one point. The challenging Hidden Valley circuit tested their abilities, but they expertly managed pace and tire wear. This win is a significant milestone and sets an exciting tone for the rest of the season, with every point crucial in the championship battle.

Jayden Ojeda and Paul Lucchitti secured second place, while Will Davison and Renee Gracie took third. The race started with a multi-car collision at Turn 1, which included Sergio Pires, Elliott Schutte, Steve Brooks, Darren Currie, and Brad Schumacher, Broc Feeney's teammate.

Despite a first-lap incident and a five-second penalty, Schumacher managed to recover and finish fourth alongside Broc Feeney. Peroni held a consistent lead over Ojeda, while Feeney moved up to fourth and then pursued Davison. The GT World Challenge Australia will wrap up with another race on Sunday.
